Facebook Page Timeline Setup Tutorial – Moderate Comments
Today’s task in the Facebook Page Timeline Setup Tutorial should be an easy one if you’ve been keeping up with your page. Today we are going to review the activity log comments by others and moderate them for spam or inappropriate comments.
To do this, first go to the activity log and then choose “spam”:
This will be the list of all of the spam posted to the wall of your page. Facebook filters spam, but of course sometimes it makes a mistake. Go through your spam timeline and just make sure that there aren’t any messages from real customers that were accidentally marked spam. To move a comment out of the spam folder, click on the circle to the right of the comment, then choose “Unmark as spam.”
Once you’ve done this, then switch to the “posts by others” view:
Scroll through all of the comments and if you come across a spam comment, click on mark as spam. If you come across an inappropriate comment, you can either choose to hide it from your Timeline or delete it all together:
This is regular maintenance that you should be performing on your page. Depending on how much traffic and comments you get, you should do this once a week for highly visited Facebook pages to once a month for smaller pages.
